This workshop will comprise of a 3-day in-person workshop (26-28 March 2025), followed by a 2-day online workshop for North & South Island trainees combined (29 April & 1 May 2025).

This workshop is of interest to counsellors, social workers, teachers, early childhood educators, psychotherapists, psychologists, creative art therapists, and others who work with children, as well as students who are training in these areas.

Participants take away with them a broad range of facilitative and relational responses, as well as an understanding of the philosophy behind these, to use in their daily interactions with children.

This workshop is of interest to counsellors, social workers, teachers, early childhood educators, psychotherapists, psychologists, creative art therapists, and others who work with children, as well as students who are training in these areas.

Participants take away with them a broad range of facilitative and relational responses, as well as an understanding of the philosophy behind these, to use in their daily interactions with children.

This five-day workshop offers participants a glimpse into the fascinating world of CCPT. Workshop participants learn ways of communicating with children which are focussed on their relationship and which enable the child to know they have been fully heard and understood. There is a focus on emotional regulation and ways of responding to and being with children which will enable this, as well as the building of their self-esteem and the facilitation of change of negative internal working models.
