The Art of Relationship – Theoretical Foundations of Child Centred Play Therapy l (Introductory)
This popular 3-day professional development workshop offers course participants an introduction to Child-Centered Play Therapy, with this being a very unique, deeply heartfelt, relational way of being with children. This workshop also holds credits for Workshop 1 of the ChildPlayWorks Clinical Play Therapy Training Programme for those who wish to apply and who meet the entry criteria.

Workshop 1: The Art of Relationship – Theoretical Foundations of Child Centred Play Therapy l&ll
A 5-day professional development workshop which also becomes Workshop 1 of the ChildPlayWorks Clinical Play Therapy Training Programme for those who meet the entry criteria.
The 5-day workshop will comprise of a 3-day in-person intensive, followed by a 2-day online theoretical workshop. The in-person workshop is prerequisite to the online workshop.
North Island in-person workshop: 26-28 March 2025, Cambridge
South Island in-person workshop: 8-10 April 2025, Christchurch
Online workshop (North & South Island trainees combined): 29 April & 1 May 2025

What is CCPT? Introductory Skills for Empathic Child Centred Relationships
This 1-day workshop explores not only selected key theory and philosophy which underpin Child Centred relationships, but also the importance of empathic relationships with children, as well as the relational art of putting these into practice. Some core Child Centred ‘ways of being’ with children are presented as well as how to consider applying these in a workplace setting.
Child Centred Play Therapy (CCPT) is also briefly introduced.
